How to (Subtly) Change it up!
We are all guilty of it! Wearing the same makeup no matter where we are going or what we are wearing! I certainly have seen plenty ladies still trying to rock the blue eyeliner look! yes blue eyeliner...really!
I don't reccomend you going for an all out change as so many girls try something different and then get the facewipe out and start again. Its better to start small and work up to WOW!
So what to do?
It is important to match your makeup not only to your outfit but also to the occasion.
In my opinion the best time to try out new makeup looks are on a night out with the girls.
EYES
I always wear brown eyeshadow......
Brown is probably the most versatile of all eyeshadow and it is a must in all makeup bags but it can get a bit dull. An easy way to change it up and enhance it is by adding a flick of eyeliner and some gold eyeshadow by the tear duct
I always wear a grey smoky eye when I go out.....
Grey is a beautiful colour on all skin tones, it especially suits blue eyes.To add a bit of drama to this look I would add a bit of black to the outside corner and socket line and add some false lashes.
If you really want to change but love a smoky eye, you can also so smoky eyes with many different colours. my favourites being Navy and Dark Green.
I never wear any eyeshadow......
You want to start simple here, Just a wash of a light flesh toned colour over the lid with a fawn or light brown in the crease. a flick of eyeliner can be added for drama.
LIPS
I always wear a pale pink lip......
You do not necessarily have to go darker to change this up a bit. I would just change the shade. You could get a peach lipstick for example.
I always wear red lipstick......
Now there isnt much sexier than a red lip but if you love than intensive colour on your lips but fancy a change an good direction to go in is fushia
FACE
I never wear blush.....
Our faces are 3 dimensional and we need to add colour to our cheeks to accentuate this. If you are new to blush its safest to go for a really natural pale pinky colour and just sweep it across the cheek.
Its just these small changes to our makeup that are just subtle enough for people to notice without knowing whats different!
Go forth and experiment!!
